Northeast Region Driver of the Month - February 2017

Please join me in congratulating David Giacobbe from our C&S York Pennsylvania location for being selected as the Northeast Region driver of the month for February.  David has been a dedicated and loyal professional of JB Hunt Transport for the last 14 years.  He has been instrumental in the company’s success by demonstrating his versatility and professionalism.  David has driven dedicated for 9 different accounts along the East Coast and has modestly accumulated an active streak of 1.7 million safe miles.  He was recently selected to represent JB Hunt in the Arkansas truck driving championships truck rodeo in Lowell, Arkansas.  The pride and commitment to his craft has led him to acquire this success in a multitude of environments and conditions. Though David has numerous statistical accomplishments that bring recognition, his biggest asset to the account is his demeanor towards his work.  On a daily basis he embodies the culture of the account which practices, safety to himself and the public, preservation of equipment and high level of service to the customer.  David demonstrates a high level of team concept as he understands the high demand of a C&S account and consistently works an extra day that could be spent with his family to alleviate the pressure off of the account.
In the month of February David has posted a spotless safety record with no critical events, incidents or accidents.  This is the 4th month in a row.  He continues to demonstrate that safety is the priority.
David has also played a huge role in not only making his account successful but filling in at other nearby accounts so that 3rd party carriers were not needed.  He provided extreme flexibility in the support of Gerdau Metals and Land O’ Lakes accounts to ensure they maintained a high level of service to their customer.  David does anything asked of him to make sure the operation of the account and company is in good standing.

Congratulations  David !
