Northeast Region Driver of the Month - February 2015

Please join me in congratulating John Le from the C&S North  Hatfield Massachusetts account for being selected as the February 2015 Northeast Region Driver of the Month.  C&S Wholesale accounts  in themselves are challenging jobs and the North Hatfield location is one of the most challenging jobs in the country.   John delivers grocery products to multiple stops  throughout New York's  five boroughs.  Day in and day out John not only successfully delivers freight but he is a also a certified trainer and in charge of ensuring every new driver is given the tools needed to do the job.
John is up front and honest when it comes to his craft and as a result only produces trainees that can successfully navigate the account. He takes his job very seriously and if you cannot meet his safety standards then you do not pass account specific training with him. John coaches, mentors and helps everyone he comes into contact with succeed, but there is no mistaking it he does not bend on his ideals and principles. This has made him a great mentor and a huge asset to the account.
When it comes to utilization, there is not another driver that  is more willing to work the extra day, or go the extra mile. Recently, John proved he’s willing to step up for the team by working his day off. In order to ensure he was available the full six days he suggested laying over on night to ensure he would have adequate HOS. He is in the top 3% of utilization within the Bernard Region and has over 160,000 safe miles while making the toughest deliveries we have in the NE. John is a trusted adviser for all upper level management including the OM Nick Bernard. When Nick needs advice or has a question he finds Jon Lee first.  For his selection John will receive a cash award, certificate of achievement, personal letter from the Vice President of operations and his picture displayed at every DCS account in the region.  In addition  John will become eligible for the driver of the year.

Congratulations  John !
