Northeast Region Driver of the Month - February 2016

Please join me in congratulating Londell Hunter for being selected as the February 2016 northeast region driver of the month.  Londell joined JB Hunt in 2003.  Being a 12 year employee Mr Hunter has achieved some notable accomplishments.  Most notably was reaching the one million safe mile achievement in January of 2016.  Like all who achieve this milestone it is a special accomplishment and Mr Hunter earned his safe miles in arguably the most challenging area of the country ( NYC).

Londell works at our Home Depot Breinigsville  Pennsylvania RDC and originally began at the TF in Philadelphia.  Londell frequently delivers to the boroughs of NY including Brooklyn and the Bronx.  He has done this through all types of weather and has done it safely.  Londell is also in a sleeper.  This allows him to always be prepared to delivery emergency loads when the necessity arises.  Again, traveling through snow, ice, flooded roadways, hurricane devastated areas you name it and he has flawlessly executed these deliveries to help others in need. 

Quite often we look at safe driving as the driver not getting into an accident damaging their equipment or themselves.  But Londell has driven 1 Million Safe Miles keeping the public safe.  He has made it home safely and has allowed every other person that is on the roadways with him for every one of those million miles make it home safely as well.  Safety is always Londell’s number one priority.

Londell is an integral asset in maintaining the safety culture that J.B. Hunt prides itself.  Londell completes a thorough pre-trip to start his day to make sure his equipment is in proper working order.  He continues through his day providing exceptional customer service to Home Depot.  He is the face that our customer sees every day delivering that load to the store.  Londell is a humble man who takes pride in the work that he does. When an issue arises at the store, Londell always remains calms and communicates effectively to resolve the situation.  Londell is always able to exceed our customer’s expectation.

 

Londell is an asset to J.B. Hunt.  More importantly it is an honor to work with him every day.  He is always willing to do what it takes to get the job done.  No matter what challenges he may face, he remains positive and is always willing to give 100%. For his selection Londell will have his picture displayed at all northeast region accounts, the wall of fame in Lowell Arkansas and also become eligible for the prestigious driver of the year.
