Northeast Region Driver of the Month - September 2016

Please join me in congratulating Bernard Hammer for being selected as the September 2016 northeast region driver of the month.  Bernard's management team had the following to say,     Bernard Hammer has been employed with J.B. Hunt since 2004 starting his career with the Circuit City account in Allentown, PA.  In 2009, Hammer transferred to the C&S Bethlehem account and the rest is history. During his tenure at J.B. Hunt, Bernard has been nothing short of a professional driver.  Bernard is always courteous to the management team and is always dependable day in and day out.  Most recently, Bernard successfully traveled one million safe miles, which is one of the most prestigious achievements you can accomplish as a driver.

Bernard has established himself as one of our accounts most effective and seasoned trainers. He is our go to guy when we need a driver to change behavior and become a safer employee on the road.  Bernard travels throughout the hardest parts of the Northeast including the Philadelphia area and all the boroughs of NYC.  Most recently, Bernard was awarded our Safety Ambassador position and has definitely exceeded our expectations.  Operationally, Bernard consistently comes in on his 6^th day nearly every week to help out the account and continues to be a role model to our younger drivers on the fleet.   For being selected Bernard will have his picture displayed at all northeast DCS locations and at the corporate headquarters wall of fame.  In addition Bernard will attend the northeast kick off meeting and receive a certificate of achievement  and be considered along with the other monthly nominees for driver of the year honors.   Congratulations to a  great professional.
