Please join me in congratulating Wayne Benjamin from our Home Depot account in Pittston Pennsylvania for being selected as the northeast region driver of the month for August. Wayne came aboard J.B. Hunt in 2009 and serves as a certified driver trainer and also a trusted adviser by helping new drivers adapt to the many challenges of DCS. When you think of Wayne Benjamin, you think of a true
professional. Recently one of his
trainees had car issues and did not have a reliable form of transportation. Every morning Wayne drove an hour out of his
way to pick up his trainee so he can still get to work.
Wayne is also one of the safest drivers at the account. He recently
reached the 1 Million Safe Mile
Milestone! He drives during peak
congestion hours and delivers to some of our toughest stores in Long Island and
NYC. Wayne has not had any accidents,
incidents or critical events in over 2 years.
This is a true testament to his skill and dedication. After our last two
accidents at the account, Wayne took it upon himself to engage other drivers in
the lounge. He educated drivers on proper tandem placement and the potential
impact it has on hydroplaning. Great job Wayne and thanks for all your hard work and dedication. Wayne will be considered along with the other 11 region driver winners for the prestigious driver of the year honor being awarded in early 2019.
