Northeast Driver of the Month - October 2019

Please join me in congratulating  Sharrif Lesueuer from the Home Depot Pittston location for being selected as the Northeast Region driver of the month.  Sharif is the absolute embodiment of what it means to “Drive Like a Champion.” When he joined the company in 2015, Sharif was assigned to the Dollar Tree account in Berwick, PA where he was responsible for unloading multi-stop, time sensitive freight. In his time there, he was heralded as a driver who was known to be on-time, every time. In other words, “Mr. Reliable.” After the Dollar Tree account closed down, Sharif then moved to the Home Depot account in Pittston, PA, where he continues to shine when we need him the most. Always willing to outsource, Sharif has worked for the likes of C&S, Amazon, HBC, Pep-Boys, Rite-Aid, Costco, Steelcase, Mission, Rynone & many other accounts in the NE region. Sharif’s dedication to J.B. Hunt has never wavered in these moments. Whether it means switching schedules, working odd hours, or having to spend holidays & weekends on the road, Sharif's professionalism is unrivaled.

As of November 2019, Sharif has maintained a healthy driving record with J.B. Hunt. In his line or work, where he is often involved in driver-assist unloading of trailers, mostly in the heart of the NYC metro area, Sharif has not accounted for a single preventable accident or work comp claim in his tenure with the company. Compound these amazing achievements with the fact that he is often working six-days-per-week & it is easy to see why he has become so popular among drivers and management alike.  As I type this, Sharif is currently in support of Amazon during their holiday surge season. With the understanding that he will be with them multiple months, Sharif’s response to this assignment was simple, yet speaks volumes to the type of person he is. “I got you.” Nothing more, nothing less. Always the consummate professional, Sharif answers the call with the calming confidence that helps everyone sleep a little better at night. For his selection Sharif will be considered with the other 11 winners of 2019 for the prestigious driver of the year being announced in January of 2020.
