Northeast Region Driver of the Month - April 2019

Please join me congratulating John McDonough from the C&S Hatfield Massachusetts location for being selected as the April 2019 driver of the month.

Johnny Mac Attack is the man with the plan. Everyday comes in with safety in mind and continues to be a reliable assist to the team. John was previously employed with BH Webster and was an incumbent when JB Hunt took over the account in 2013. John took some time away from trucking and opted to come back in April of 2018. When John came back he went back to his strong work ethic and did city loads delivering to Key Foods and Food Towns throughout the Queens area of NY. However John learned a quick lesson in short cuts shortly after coming back and injured himself using a pallet as a step up to get into a trailer and hurt his back.

When John returned to work he knew his limits and opted to deliver target freight. Since then John has been a top performer within our Target fleet and hasn’t had a late delivery. Not only does he service the Target customer with professionalism he provides the office with daily backup support on Back Haul recoveries. On a daily basis John will put himself out there as willing to recover any Back Haul that we need assistance on. Recently our team has been slotted to recover Tropicana Back Hauls out of NJ, when our designed plan fails John has come through and went from his last delivery in Queens over to NJ and made it back to Hatfield within his legal HOS.

Overall John brings a positive attitude with him that can be very contagious. With all the time spent with John in this account there has never been a day where he disrespects any office employee and often will help other drivers however possible.
